CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Authenticity / Inspiration / Commitment / Honesty

We at Erima GmbH declare our strict adherence to the respect of human rights. As such, we share with our partners a commitment to high ethical standards and guarantee the following Code of Conduct:

 

No employment of minors. Contractors’ employees have at least completed compulsory education or reached the legal working age for the respective country, whichever is higher.

 

Working hours are not excessive. Contractors’ employees do not work in excess of 60 hours per week, or the regular or overtime hours allowed by the laws of the manufacturing country, whichever is less. Any overtime hours are consensual and compensated at premium rate. Employees are allowed at least 24 consecutive hours’ rest in every 7 day period.

 

A remuneration which is respectful of basic needs and all benefits mandated by law is paid. As a minimum, payment of at least the minimum wage required by local law or the prevailing industry wage, whichever is higher.

 

Respect and equality, regardless of race, religious beliefs, age, sex, social origin, political views, sexual orientation or position.

 

Freedom of associationand the right to join unions or other work- or industry-related associations, as well as the right to collective bargaining.

 

The workplace is healthy and safe. A workplace which promotes the health and safety of the workers, as well as the protection and preservation of the environment, is provided.

 

Harassment and abuse are not tolerated. Contactors’ employees are treated with respect and dignity. Employees are not subject to physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

 

Environmental impact is minimized. The contractor protects human health and the environment by meeting applicable regulatory requirements including air emissions, solid / hazardous waste and water discharge. The contractor adopts reasonable measures to mitigate negative operational impacts on the environment and strives to continuously improve environmental performance.

 

Building safety and fire prevention. The factory must have sufficient emergency exits on all levels which are marked accordingly. The escape routes must have easy access. All employees shall be informed about all safety arrangements (emergency exits, fire extinguisher, etc.)

 

Trust and cooperation. Erima GmbH expects all contractors and subcontractors to comply with the above-mentioned rules and to do their utmost to achieve those standards.
