With a top-level engagement ERIMA expands its presence on the international handball stage. The German team sport brand signs up another top-ranking club: the HBC Nantes, runner-up of the French league.
For many years Nantes has had a leading position in the French handball sport with top placements in national and international competitions confirming its reputation. At present, the team ranks second in the French league, one score behind Paris at the top. Along with the German national player Dominik Klein, international handball stars like Eduardo Gurbindo and Olivier Nyokas play for the club. Just a few days ago, the Macedonian top-scorer Kiril Lazarov announced his transfer to HBC Nantes. The back-area ace, currently playing for FC Barcelona, is known as one of the best players in this position.
With the signing of the new five-year contract as from the 2017/18 season, ERIMA would like to celebrate the handball success in France in the same way as in Germany where it has recently put the brand in the spotlight of the sport world: the SG Flensburg-Handewitt won the Champions League, the Rhein-Neckar-Löwen the German Championship.
“The HBC Nantes also has all the qualifications required for celebrating such a large-scale success,” stated ERIMA owner, Wolfram Mannherz, when signing the contract with the club’s president Gael Pelletier. “We enter into this partnership proudly and with great enthusiasm”, Mannherz added.
